Triax TDX professional digital headend.





Triax TDX headend, rack mounting enclosure with up to 20 satellite module tuners. Filtered digital output
for modern TVs with digital tuners. The TDX unit in the picture has 7 modules fitted. These modules were set up
to provide 10 channels (some channels were on the same transponder and so only 7 tuner modules were needed.
One digital output board was fitted although there is space for six. The unit is set up by connecting the LAN
connector to a notebook computer. The software permits all channels and output frequencies to be selected and
set up (notebook computer not included). Full and detailed instructions show how to connect and program the TDX unit.
If the TVs are scattered over large distances an optional launch amplifier can be connected at the output to provide the
necessary extra gain. Each tuner input module has an IF loop through if required (although direct connection from a
multiswitch is the best method of providing the satellite inputs.) There are two digital outputs. One for
connection to the distribution system (via a launch amp if required) and one test output. The test output is
useful since it allows a meter to be connected without disconnecting the headend from the distribution path.
