Global Invacom Fibre OTX Headend.
Power supply (PSU) included. Twin wideband LNB included.
c120 flange twin wideband LNB option.
The fibre LNB is now replaced by a wideband twin LNB and a wideband to fibre headend.
The FC/PC connectors have not changed and so this is a drop in replacement for the previous Global Invacom fibre MDU LNB.
The headend is completely waterproof and can be placed outdoors. It is available with or without a wideband LNB.
Two versions of the fibre headend are available. A standard 1310 output laser model and a 1550 high output laser model.
The 1550 high output model can support more splits in the fibre cable and so go to more locations.
The 1310, on it's own, can be split 32 times, however if the output if run through an
OTO, 64 splits are possible.
The 1530 high output headend would be used with a Global Invacom "EDFA" for much larger IRS systems.
The OTX has inputs for the wideband LNB and a terrestrial aerial and so is a direct replacement for the original Global ODU
The compact (optional) wideband LNB is manufactured by Global Invacom and is ideal for use with the ODX.
Note - the dish with wideband LNB (and aerial) connects to the input of this fibre headend. A fibre cable then connects
from the output and this can go over long distances and be split many times. It then connects to the fibre to electrical interface
which is called a
Quatro GTU. Alternatively it can be split using several fibre splitters and go to several locations.
Either way, the ends must connect to a fibre GTU(s). The GTU is either a
Quatro or
Quad interface.
If a "quatro" GTU is used, the output of the GTU can be connected to
normal multiswitches or
Sky Q™ multiswitches.
which will provide many satellite points for the connection of satellite receivers in an IRS system multiple occupancy building.
If switched to "quad" it can be used in one household and all outputs will work with all types of satellite receiver
including Sky Q™ if a
Sky Q™ interface is used. (Please note - "Sky Q™" is a trade mark of Sky Television).
Optical fibre cable is difficult to terminate without the correct tool and so it is best to order pre-made
fibre cables
with the connectors already fitted. Make sure the pre-made cable is long enough for the job! Too long is not a
problem as there is zero loss. To go to many locations,
fibre splitters are needed. If a long cable run is to be
used between the wideband LNB and the headend, it is recommended to use a
wideband amplifier.
A plastic clip to clip the OTX to the pole behind the dish is an option below.
The other option is the 1550 OTX high output laser version for up to 64 splits.
Options, only if required, will be automatically added to the satelite receiver when you "add to cart" below.

Global Invacom Fibre OT0.
This fibre product expands the capability of a Global Invacom OTX. It increases the capability
of the 1310 OTX from 32 splits to 64 splits for larger IRS systems.
It acts just like a splitter with the fibre output of the OTX going into it.
Unlike a splitter it also boosts the power of the laser (like an amplifier) and each of
the 2 outputs can be split 32 times. Total splits increased to 64.
